The variety of the terrain and landscapes of the Lot have enabled it to become one of the finest areas of France for hiking. From the Mas de Redoules, there are many old farm tracks with century's old stone walls running alongside them, numerous equestrian and riverbank trails, as well as the famous Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route, all of which enable great and memorable walks. We can propose numerous itineraries of various lengths, some with a theme such as the local heritage, panoramic views etc. With a map and GPS in hand, the Lot is your oyster !! At Mas de Redoules, we are fortunate to have two very beautiful rivers nearby. The Lot is only a kilometre away and the Célé a further 3 km. These two rivers offer landscapes as magnificent as they are varied, alternating green banks and gorges dug in limestone where semi-troglodyte houses are sometimes sheltered. Whether it is the Lot or Célé Rivers, you will find structures offering canoe rental for the day or half-day. We recommend Nature et Loisirs ( www.nature-et-loisirs.com
) which are well equipped and ideally located. Further north, the Dordogne river, with its picturesque landscapes, is also a privileged playground for lovers of water sports.Horse riding
The Lot is a real paradise for horse riding enthusiasts, with more than 1,500 km of marked equestrian trails, not counting the countless paths and trails which are not listed as equestrian trails. The vast expanses of Causses de Quercy, intersected by the Lot and Célé valleys, offer varied terrain for riders who will remember these magnificent landscapes. Many equestrian service providers are located near the Mas de Redoules. They offer excursions by the hour, by the day, or even more. If you prefer to come with your own horses, we can welcome them in one of our paddocks and can give you the benefit of our own experience of horse riding in the region to guarantee you the best experience.
