Walking The variety of the terrain and landscapes of the Lot have enabled it to become one of the finest areas of France for hiking. From the Mas de Redoules, there are many old farm tracks with century’s old stone walls running alongside them, numerous equestrian and riverbank trails, as well as the famous Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route, all of which enable great and memorable walks. We can propose numerous itineraries of various lengths, some with a theme such as the local heritage, panoramic views etc. With a map and GPS in hand, the Lot is your oyster !! Contact us for more details.

Cycling / Mountain biking The area around the Mas de Redoules is ideal country for cyclists, both on-road and off-road. There are many villages and sites well-worth visiting and all within easy reach by bike. Take a refreshing dip in either the Lot or Célé rivers, cycle to a panoramic view and admire the world around you. For the more adventurous, set off from the Mas de Redoules and mountain bike all day with hardly any roadwork. We have several great itineraries to suggest, for all ages and abilities. Canoeing The Mas de Redoules is fortunate to have two beautiful rivers close by. The Lot is only a kilometre away while the Célé is further 5km. Both rivers have numerous renting agencies who rent out canoes for half or full days. Further north, the picturesque Dordogne River offers enjoyable paddling experiences. The Mas de Redoules can suggest the most appropriate itinerary and organise canoe rentals for you.

Horse-riding With over 1500km of official bridleways (and ten-times that number if you include paths, tracks and small country lanes), the Lot is a paradise for the horse-riding enthusiast. The vast open plateaux with pockets of oak and pine forests, intersected by valleys and canyons, offer fabulous riding country. There are numerous riding outfitters in the area who offer daily riding excursions. If you prefer to bring and ride your own horse, then we can also accommodate your horse in of our numerous paddocks. From the Mas de Redoules, one can set off and ride for several hours to several days. We have many fabulous itineraries for you to enjoy. Contact us for more information.

Freshwater / Cave-diving Due to its geological formation, the area is a mainly karstic landscape. Its limestone plateaux are full of caves and underground water systems. These are generally accessed from the rivers. Unique in France and parts of Europe, the Lot is renown as one of the best places for freshwater and cave diving in the world. Two of the diving sites most used are within 10km from the Mas de Redoules. We can help organise some diving excursions. Please contact us for more information.
